Description of event:
Ryan Acuff, a Rochester land and housing organizer in Rochester, visited South America (Colombia and Ecuador) for 4.5 months this year to connect with social uprisings, movements and processes. This talk will give a window into some of the inspiring and energetic processes for peace, indigenous rights, land rights and ecological justice and how we might learn from and support these movements.
What is Monday Mayhem at the Flying Squirrel Community Space?
On the first Monday of every month, the Flying Squirrel hosts special programming that forgoes the technical and logistical concerns of running an open-use community space in order to take a closer look at the impact of our actions on the community and our potential as a catalyst for change.
