This stage play takes a look at the life of a decorated war hero whose life has taken a tragic turn. Driven past the breaking point, he eventually lands in prison, where art and poetry are his only resources as he desperately tries to keep his sanity.
Written by Jahaka Mindstorm and directed by Reuben J. Tapp, "Window Pains" is a Ground Zero view of how our veterans are impacted by cold and impersonal American Institutions.
This fictional story was inspired by some of the writer's personal experiences as a combat veteran and experiences shared by other vets.
Can the Military Industrial Complex be another prison pipeline? You'll want to join us Saturday September 5th to get the answer!
It's a two-for-one theatre deal, as "Window Pains" will be preceded by Jacquetta Harris' courtroom drama "The Trial." Both shows are presented as part of the eighth season of the Sankofa Evening of Theatre and Jazz.
Tickets are $12 in advance, $16 at the door. For individual tickets call Moodmakers Books (585-271-7010) or visit muccc.org.
