Last night our volunteers placed several men in an emergency shelter night at the Cadillac hotel. Many local shelters are full, inadequately funded or staffed. The men we placed are extremely thankful for the opportunity not to freeze. Rooms in the Cadillac are still cold however. One man said "45 degrees".
POOR PEOPLE UNITED is asking the community to donate small space heaters to be used in the prevention of hypothermia.
Donations can be dropped off at St Josephs House of Hospitality (402 South Ave), and given to Kevin Foos. Kevin’s cell phone number is 899-0597
