RCAN ENDORSES POOR PEOPLE’S MARCH
Primary tabs
Rochester Campus Action Network announced today it endorsed a new march "Money for healthcare, not for warfare!" The loose network of student and youth activists was the force behind last year's large anti-war demonstrations. After the invasion of Iraq however, people began loosing hope that a movement could make any impact. RCAN is now refocusing on extremely local issues, and supporting those directly impacted by Human Rights Violations. Many members of RCAN as well as other students have trouble staying on quality healthcare in Rochester.
We're hoping to somehow find 1,000 hospital scrubs, enough petty cash to pay our cell phone bills and plenty of volunteers" Said Kevin Foos a volunteer organizer with the Poor People Economic Human Rights Campaign.
