Just a wee bit upset about the Partial Birth Abortion Ban.... <!--break--> I was pretty upset yesterday. I'm pretty upset today. I do not dig the idea of President Bush or any man trying to control any organ in my body, or the organs in any womyns body. So, I thought to myself "Robyn, if your uterus is not your own, then the president ought to be paying you rent." Not only that, he personally should have to pay any womyn he wants to force to give birth, not only rent, but money for pain and suffering, as well as pay for the childs entire upbringing. That makes sense to me, and if he really cares so desparately for these fetuses than he should be more than willing to do so. The fact that probably will not be so willing to do so simply goes to show that he feels the womyn should be forced to have the child as "punishment" for having sex- you know, good old christian values. The only reason they are so against abortion and birth control and the like, is because those are the very things that leveled the playing ground between men and women to begin with, and they're still pouty over it. Its funny how he sees no problem with going to war and killing tons of innocent people, but cares so deeply for these fetuses, its funny how he and the rest of the right wing complain about so-called "welfare queens" who "just have more children to get more money out of the system," (don't even get me started on that one)- yet they want to enact legislation to force women to have children anyway. Its funny how he just doesn't seem to give a damn about "innocent lives" once they are out of the womb. That makes so much sense to me. Anyhow, I am waging a campaign. I am writing a letter to Dubya (president@whitehouse.gov), informing him of my plans to charge him for rent on my (his?) uterus. I urge every woman who reads this to do the same. Here is a copy of the letter I am sending him. Feel free to cut and paste. Dear Mr. President- My name is Robyn Pennacchia, and I was just informed yesterday that I have a foreign object residing in my body! Its interesting that I have gone all these years just assuming that every organ in my body was my own, and come to find out yesterday, that you are in fact in charge of my uterus, and I have no control over whether or not I would like a fetus in there! Since you have "liberated" my uterus (kind of like you "liberated" Iraq) from my control, I have to inform you that I will now be charging you rent, in the amount of 500 dollars a month (as much as an average studio apartment), to keep this foreign object in my body. I look forward to recieving your check. Since you care so much about children, in the event of my being forced against my will to have one, I am sure that you will be more than willing to give me more money to compensate me for my pain and suffering, my hospital bills, as well as pay for all of the childs expenses entirely out of pocket. I am sure that, since you care so so much, you will be willing to do this for every woman in America forced to have a child against her will. Please inform me if you intend to "liberate" any more of my internal organs (but please note, I am especially attatched to my pancreas). Sincerely, Ms. Robyn Pennacchia and the newly "liberated" uterus residing in her body.
