B.LA.C.K. holds that knowledge and knowledge of self are critical components to our maturation as individuals and as a community. Without these two components elevation to our higher self is uncertain. With this in mind, B.L.A.C.K. proudly presents, The "B.L.A.C.K. Community Expo & Discourse."
5:00-6:30 pm-The Community Expo will consist of a showcase of local artists and local businesses along with opportunity for all in attendance to network and fellowship with one another.
6:35-8:00 pm-Dr. Karanja Keita Carroll, the Associate Professor of Black Studies at the State University of New York at New Paltz will lead the discourse.The title and focus of the discussion is, "Existing within a Post-Racial Moment: Race, Racism and the Necessity of Social Justice."
