When the AFL-CIO refused to endorse Democrat George McGovern because he opposed the war in Vietnam, Black trade union leaders echoed the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s voice in saying "That ain't right!" They followed Dr. King's lead in opposing the war and advocating for civil rights within and without the labor movement.</div><div id="yui_3_13_0_ym1_1_1395498470182_21290"> </div><div id="yui_3_13_0_ym1_1_1395498470182_21291">Since its founding, CBTU has been a progressive voice within the movement, challenging us to fulfill the covenants left to us by A. Philip Randolph, Dr. King, and others.
