A film screening and discussion hosted by Enough Is Enough<br><br>Part of our Springing into Action Against Police Brutality and Misconduct series.<br><br>March 25, 2014<br><span class="text_exposed_show">7:00PM - 9:00PM<br>Flying Squirrel Community Space (285 Clarissa St.)<br><br>The film is 50 minutes and we will facilitate a discussion following the screening.<br><br>Enough Is Enough is planning three events to coincide with the police attack against Benny Warr last May Day. We don't have an official title for the series, but "Springing into Action Against Police Brutality and Misconduct" seems springy and gets the point across.<br><br>The first event will be at the Flying Squirrel during our meeting time. We are showing "These Streets Are Watching" by Copwatch. People taking action and holding police accountable for brutality and misconduct through the use of direct observation while asserting their rights is one way to resist police domination. EIE will lead a discussion following the film.<br><br>The second event is a storytelling panel comprised of people in Rochester who have been affected by police brutality and misconduct. The panel is a way to get these stories retold and out into the public. Part of this event is to build for an anti-police brutality speak-out on May 1st and an anti-police brutality march on May 3rd. We're planning on the second part of this event being a know your rights training given by the New York Civil Liberties Union. The storytelling panel does not have a date yet, but will most likely be in the middle or end of April and will be held at Inner Faith Gospel Tabernacle (32 York Street).<br><br>The third event(s) for our Springing into Action lineup is a community speak-out against police brutality and an anti-police brutality march. The speak-out will be held at Bartlett and Jefferson on the anniversary of the police attack against Benny Warr. This will be a space for people to speak out and tell their stories as well as a space to promote and build for the march on May 3rd. The second part of this is the anti-police brutality march on Saturday, May 3rd. Logistics are still in the planning, and we welcome any help people can give. If you have a story you would like to tell, please attend one of our meetings in March or early April. Every Tuesday, 7-9pm, 285 Clarissa St.</span></span></span></p>
