NISGUA’s (Network in Solidarity with the People of Guatemala) 2011 Spring Tour focuses on mining in Guatemala, exposing how women face unique challenges and forms of violence with the implementation of large-scale development projects like the Marlin mine. In spite of the difficulties, women are advocating for their rights to water, health care, housing and food.
