Candidates endorsed by the Green Party of Monroe County will be featured at October's Monthly Meeting. It is open to the public.

The next monthly meeting of the Green Party of Monroe County is, Monday, October 12th at 7pm in the meeting room of the GVGA at 875 E. Main Street, 5th floor.

We'll be discussing upcoming elections at local and state levels with fellow Greens. Elections to be covered include this November's, where numerous candidates have been cross-endorsed as well as upoming elections in 2010. Scheduled to be there are City School Board Candidates Howard Eagle and Chris Edes as well as City Council Candidate Harry Davis. We just confirmed Jo Meleca, who is running for County Legislature in Greece.

Alex White, who intended to run for Mayor in the city, but whose petitions were invalidated by a Democratic challenge will also be in attendance.

The meeting – as is all Green Party meetings – is open to the public.

The Green Party of Monroe County has a group on Facebook, a MySpace page and a Twitter page. And you can get to all of those from our website at www.gpomc.org.

Account Creation Policy Change

Rochester Indymedia is now requiring editor approval for account creation.

We came to this decision after we had repeated spam posted to our website that caused difficulty with the website's functioning.  We will still have open publishing and keep our site as nonrestrictive and accessible as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.  As before, we will continue to be Rochester's grassroots news and education site.  Thank you for your continued support and remember, "Don't hate the media, be the media!"

Editorial Meeting Times / Locations

The Rochester Independent Media Center (R-IMC) is no longer meeting regularly.
We will set up meetings by necessity and appointment. Please contact us at rochesterindymedia@rocus.org.
Our home is still the Flying Squirrel Community Space at 285 Clarissa St. Occasionally, we hold meetings at RCTV located at 21 Gorham Street.
