eye-witness account of alleged police brutality against Tyquan Rivera before shooting of officer as read over the air waves of 103.9FM WDKX

So, two weeks ago I heard that WDKX read an email over the air of an eye-witness account of alleged police brutality shortly before Tyquan Rivera allegedly picked up a gun and fired into police.

WDKX wouldn't give me the email and their website didn't contain the audio of the show with the email being read over the air even though they offer some callers responding to it. However, after identifying myself with Indymedia, they allowed me to come down and pick up an air check of the morning show for Feb. 4th. With that, I was able to clip out the part with the email being read over the air. Thanks to WDKX for allowing this.

If what the eye-witness says is true, then, to me, it's not a surprising reaction. However, the corporate press, the police, the city, the racist system, doesn't want this news spread around—for whatever reason. There was a reason why Tyquan allegedly fired into police and it wasn't the games, TV, or music. It's economic injustice mixed with racism and state violence.
