Comprised of two thousand and eight original works of art, all measuring 6 inches square. This exhibition features artworks by celebrities, international, national and local artists, designers, and college students. All works are signed by the artists on the back, but are exhibited anonymously. Each artwork will be available for sale to the public for only $20 each. Only at the time of purchase will the artists’ name be revealed to the buyer. All proceeds will benefit Rochester Contemporary Art Center. 6x6x2008 is playful. The exhibition sets the 6x6 inch format as the only real parameter for the works and features artists and art-enthusiasts from all corners of the globe, including Indonesia, Spain, England, Scotland, Canada, Los Angeles, Seattle, Montana, Iowa, Florida, New York City and beyond! Participate in the first annual art exhibition which tests your ability to identify famous artists’ work. Can you guess which artworks were made by Mayor Robert Duffy, Grant Holcomb (director of Memorial Art Gallery), Jerry Uelsmann (famous photographer) and your grandmother? The exhibition also challenges you to support the arts by buying what you like, regardless of the signature! On June 7th become a part of the largest art exhibition and fundraiser in Rochester history! Account Creation Policy Change

Rochester Indymedia is now requiring editor approval for account creation.

We came to this decision after we had repeated spam posted to our website that caused difficulty with the website's functioning.  We will still have open publishing and keep our site as nonrestrictive and accessible as possible.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.  As before, we will continue to be Rochester's grassroots news and education site.  Thank you for your continued support and remember, "Don't hate the media, be the media!"

Editorial Meeting Times / Locations

The Rochester Independent Media Center (R-IMC) is no longer meeting regularly.
We will set up meetings by necessity and appointment. Please contact us at rochesterindymedia@rocus.org.
Our home is still the Flying Squirrel Community Space at 285 Clarissa St. Occasionally, we hold meetings at RCTV located at 21 Gorham Street.
