State of Siege Declared in Honduras /Congreso de Honduras Anuncia Estado Sitio en Todo el Pais

Latest reports are confirming that the Honduran Congress has declared a State of Siege and martial law throughout the country as of 15:00 hours.

To the contrary of recommendations and international condemnations of the OAS and the UN that Roberto Michelleti step down from the Presidency, peacefully returning the Honduran Presidency to Manuel Zelaya, Michelleti is making a fleeting attempt to use his last resources with absolute martial law in the face of the increasing clamor and popular rejection of the coup throughout Honduras.

A las 15:00 horas aproximadamente hora local de Honduras el Congreso Nacional movió para aprobar una decisión para imponer en un Estado de Sitio absoluto en todo el país a partir de este momento.

Al contrario de las recomendaciones de la OEA la ONU de que el Roberto Michelleti desistiera de la Presidencia de la República de Honduras para permitir el regreso a su país y su cargo como único Presidente de Honduras a Manuel Zelaya, Michelleti ha sacado hasta el ultimo recurso al llamar un Estado de Sitio frente las crecientes movilizaciones en todo el país.
