Heah Editors: Quick question

Why do you remove dialog re: the Middle east, but keep up commercial spam? Thats some pretty strange priorities

Re: Heah Editors: Quick question

Please include the link to the commercial spam posts your referring to- I don't see them.

Regarding the posts on the middle east: We do have a policy of hiding spam that is mass posted to multiple indymedia sites. The posts I'm assuming you are referring to were posted on several indymedia sites. One, Winnipeg IMC seems to have been taken over by such posts. This does not promote open dialog, but clogs newswires with one particular ideological view point.

Still, we don't hide things lightly- and If you think we were wrong in hiding these posts- feel free to contact me- and I will share your reasons with the rest of our editorial collective at our next meeting.
My email is sacco (at) riseup.net

Re: Heah Editors: Quick question

Winnipeg IMC appears to be completely abandoned. Still viable IMCs should refuse to link to it until some form of editorial control is resumed.

Here's a link to the editorial policy:

I just want to add to what Andy said:

There's a LOT of spam that you probably don't even see. Ben and Ted, and maybe Dawn and Andy as well?, are frequently removing spam comments and spam posts. Hundreds at a time sometimes.
