Re: Fight to Remove Bob Lonsberry Continues - Join Us

My only problem isnt with the article per se--it's with one of the choices of "targets". TOPS, now that Wegman's has deserted the city (only one left--winton and east), is a major source of food for city residents no wishing to pay exorbitant convenience store prices ( and who for one reason or another, dont do farmer's markets or coops). I wouldve suggested an informational picket at Tops (very visible) but not a boycott. A flopped boycott just makes things worse...

Re: Re: Fight to Remove Bob Lonsberry Continues - Join Us

Hey Ron-

I think your point is exactly the reason why Tops will NOT be a flopped boycott. People of color are currently choosing Tops, but there are other options! There is Aldi's, as well as the new Price Rite on Driving Park Avenue. Tops can and will be effected by this boycott-they will learn how much money they are making from people of color, and anti-racist white folks, and how we do not support Tops' sponsorship of WHAM and Bob Lonsberry.

We're going to be doing lots of things to get people's attention-what's the point of a picket if it doesn't end with a (relatively) large amount of economic damage to Tops? That would be useless-we need action to get Bob Lonsberry off the air, and that's what we're going to take.
