Re: Re: I've got all the time in the world to troll my heart away....

Wow. I've never met you in person, but you are unbelievable. I regularly admit to my faults and am 100% honest. I made many mistakes as director of FHF (people make mistakes all the time), but I was also doing incredible amount of work for free with very little assistance. I allude to making mistakes on the webpage and discuss some of the allegations made against me in great detail in the first SPLC article. The reporter also published outlandish allegations made against me, so it WASN'T a one sided article. Not by a long shot.

I sent around to a lot of people a board resolutions where the lady I accuse made up to transfer company property TO HERSELF! Why can't you people acknowledge that maybe, just maybe I could be right.

As I said in my below post, the Southern Poverty Law Center is a VERY professional organization that is very worried about being sued for slander/defamation by hate groups and go through extensive investigation to make sure the allegations are true before they publish.

You guys are AGAINST the same grassroots activists that you're supposed to be dedicated to helping. Seriously.

Re: Re: Re: I've got all the time in the world to troll my heart away....

Andrew-

I've read the things on your website where you explain what happened. I personally haven't done work on this particular story because it's been crappy still, and I have been getting hurt at work and have been trying not to ride my bike. Additionally, the story is a little bit scary. I still hope to figure this stuff out, and now that the weather is getting nicer and my wrist seems to be healing, (hopefully for the long run, not until I work with the same student again), I will be able to work on this story. This particular story is of personal interest to me. I'm not saying you could not possibly be right, (which you somehow got out of my response, I don't know how exactly). I'm saying I'm not just going to take your word for it. I'm also saying that when somebody says to me, "Hey, do me a favor, write this story about me and this particular thing, and this is what happened..." then it seems really unsettling because you seem to feel entitled to me doing what you want me to do, which you aren't. And it seems like that's how you treat others as well. And it isn't fair.

That being said, WHY do you come in here and bash every single thing that's being said that doesn't have to do with you? Is nothing newsworthy if it isn't about FHF or some other thing you think we should be writing about? I'm telling you, people in Indymedia ARE interested in other things being published, but none of us as individuals has the potential to do everything. I'm personally admitting that I don't think the stories written are necessarily in any way the most important stories, (but they do happen to be the things that each of us individually are doing or are involved in regularly so it's easier to write a story about it), but that they're easier. It would be good if we worked on other things, and we're starting to. In fact, it seems that we frequently start to and that it doesn't always get finished up on because...it's HARD.

Re: Re: Re: Re: I've got all the time in the world to troll my heart away....

I'll just say this. I don't really care whether you do a story or not. I asked nicely and you responded. That's all. I know that I'm not entitled to any stories.

I don't "bash everything." I clearly do not do this. Some of the stories are actually pretty interesting, like that story about Troy, NY. Very little is about FHF, and that fine by me... especially since I don't live in Rochester anymore.

I'm also surprised about your commentary about "how I treat people." I'm going to tell you my side of the story... and you can go from there. Rochester Indymedia accepts the one side for every other story... but you don't have to for mine. You have no idea about how I treat people... seriously.

It just bothers me that RI has a bias against me and my work, that why I always bust on you guys. Maybe I have a legit reason to do so. That "local activists complain about no coverage" was a pretty lame story. When I see stories like that and a refusal to cover my stories, it does irritate me.

Look for my upcoming editorial in the Empty Closet!
